The latest version of Pocket PDA is 1.5.5, it was released on April 15, 2009. To determine your current version of Pocket PDA launch Pocket PDA, version number is displayed on the log on screen. You can also determine the version number from the Tools->Options from main program menu of Pocket PDA. To determine whether or not you need this upgrade, read the version history.
Instructions
To successfully upgrade your Pocket PDA make sure:
All worksheets have been prepared for upload from Pocket PDA.
These worksheets have been successfully synchronized from the Pocket PDA.
Follow these steps:
Uninstall the Pocket PDA from the Pocket PC, using one of the steps below:
From Desktop: Launch ActiveSync. Click on Tools->Add Remove Programs. Uncheck the box 'CPR Technologies Pocket PDA' and click 'OK'
From Pocket PC: From the Pocket PDA click Start->Settings->System->Add Remove Program
Delete the Pocket PDA folder from the Pocket PC, using one of the steps below:
From Desktop: Launch ActiveSync. Click on Explore. Browse to '\My Windows Moble Device\Program Files' folder. Right click on Pocket PDA folder and choose delete.
From Pocket PC: or from the Pocket PDA, choose Start->Program->File Explore. Browse to '\Program Files' folder. Right click on Pocket PDA folder and choose delete.
From the desktop, uninstall the Pocket PDA software from Add/Remove programs.
Download the Pocket PDA setup program from the link which was emailed to you.
Unzip and run the setup program. For detailed instructions on installing refer to Pocket PDA install instructions.
When asked you may choose NOT to install SQL CE and SQL Client on the Pocket PC.
When asked to install CPR Technologies Pocket PDA, choose yes to reinstall.
On the Pocket PC when asked to overwrite the files for Pocket PDA choose 'Yes to All'
Synchronize the Pocket PDA from the desktop application and remember to uncheck the box 'Perform Incremental Upgrade'

Is Summary Worksheet issue fixed: Worksheet Field 'Is Summary Worksheet' was available in earlier version. As summary worksheets cannot be created in Pocket PDA, this field is no longer available on Pocket PC.
Defaults not filled in: When entering physician it was not filling in departments and other defaults. This issue has been resolved.

Worksheet header filled from server: If Pocket PC has been configured to connect to Plato server over wired / wireless network, when a user enters the primary fields in the Worksheet Header dialog; Pocket PDA communicates with the server and pulls the data form the PDA server. If ADT interface has been configured on the server demographic information will be populated from the interface data. This feature applies to Pocket PDA working with PDA Professional version 4.7.2 or better only.
Switch role / facility when performing wireless synchronization: Wireless synchronization feature was added in version 1.5.0. However to switch the role or facility user had to synchronize the Pocket PC in the cradle. With this version you can switch the current role or facility even when performing wireless synchronization.

Support for Wireless Synchronization: This version supports wireless synchronization to the PDA Professional server. It is the responsibility of the customer to configure the wireless connectivity and secure it. This feature applies to Pocket PDA working with PDA Professional version 4.7.1 or better only.
Install support for .NET Framework 2.0: Install used to fail when only .NET Framework 2.0 was installed on the workstation. This issue has been fixed. Installation can now proceed with either version 1.1 or 2.0 of .NET Framework on the installation workstation.

Database is compacted after loading new configuration: Database is automatically compacted everytime Pocket PDA is updated with new configuration. Database can be manually compacted fromTools->Compact Database menu.
Ability to clear worksheet and criterion attributes: You can now clear worksheetattributes bychoosing Worksheet->Quick View->Clear Attributes. Criterion attributes can be clearedfrom Criterion->QuickView->Clear Attributes. Choosing the Clear button from the attributes dialog box also clears attributes. This also deletes the attributes from (sub)criterion if Update Criterion option is checked. Note that mandatory and primary fields are not cleared as they cannot be left blank.

*Support for update date: Update date will allow you to track when a particular worksheet or criterion was updated.
Default's to ask for prepare for upload: When exiting the application by default it will ask to prepare worksheets for upload, eariler the default was no. This functionality can be changed fromTools->Prepare for Upload.
Default's to show pop-up menus: By default now pop-up menus are enabled, earlier they were disabled. This functionality can be changed from Tools->Options menu.
